15 Sep The Big Day!
The big day is upon me and I’m so very excited! Three years, two months, 24 days ….. (I guess I’m counting) that I’ve been preparing for my “Iron and Ice” collection of 30 paintings to be on exhibit at the DeVos Museum in Marquette, Michigan. The museum staff will pick up my work soon. Then, I will finalize my artist’s statement, update my Power-Point presentation and catch up on sleep.
The exhibit opens on September 25 with a reception and talk starting at 5:00. The exhibit will close on November 8. I wish that each and every one of you could join me for this Upper Peninsula Focus exhibition which also features my friend and brilliant sculpture artist, Yvonne LeMire. Below is my last painting to frame and it is a biggie, 35″ x 45″.
